SortIT Solutions has created a tailor made course for schools / VEC’s / community colleges / educational institutions.
“Introduction to Computer Programming” is just that; an 8 week course designed for students from the ages of 16 upwards, concentrating on the C# (C Sharp) programming language.
The course assumes the student has no previous computer programming experience and teaches from foundation up. Feedback thus far has shown that the students are genuinely interested in the course, find the material interesting and that it has helped them decide if an IT related course is suitable for them in university. By the end of the course, the students will have created a practical running application which operates under any Microsoft Windows operating system.
SortIT are offering this tailor made programme to all educational institutes, not just schools. The programme is taught in the comfort of the students own computer room (ie. School computer room) therefore not affecting any other studies.
The C# programming language is the most popular choice as it is currently taught in almost all University IT courses at present. However, other languages can be catered for on request.
If your school / institution would like to avail of this course, please get in touch . We usually cater for a maximum of 20 students, although this number is limited to the amount of computers on-site.
